Mother Nature is not cooperating with us this Christmas! We were set to travel to Iowa to spend the holiday with my family however the "storm of the century" has altered our plans. We're making the best of it. Eric and I continued our tradition of "Crabby Christmas" last night. We mixed it up this year and rather than having king crab legs, we decided to give surf and turf a go. Eric made awesome scallops and bacon wrapped tenderloins. Delicious! It was a great evening of listening to Christmas music, watching the snow fall, and spending time with my favorite guy.
This morning Emerson the abominable snowman was able to play in the snow for the first time while Eric and I took turns shoveling the 6+ inches of snow on the ground. She cracks me up! She didn't quite know what to think of all the fluffy, white stuff and certainly of her crazy parents who were laughing hysterically! She was a good sport and even let us turn her into a snow angel. What a cutie pie!
